Phone Bills

When I moved to Toronto last year I never really thought long and hard about the phone bills and seeing how I use the phone basically 24/7 which is always long distance, my phone bill can get pretty expensive.

Last weekend I had come to be fed up with the whole $300 phone bills, so I went searching around trying to find a solution or at least something that would be a bit better than wasting $300 a month. I had been talking with my brother over the phone and he had always been a computer type of guy, so he told me about when he played video games way back when that he used a ventrilo server to talk back and forth between the other gamers. So, he thought it would only make sense to use it as a phone also.

So, I researched into it and I can pay upwards of $3 a month to talk to whom ever I want all around the world. I thought that was great and I went out and bought the head set and even the server, but I just have know idea what would be the best ventrilo hosting package to choose from, seeing how it will only be used for a phone.

Just curious if anyone out there that uses ventrilo services as there phone, what package did you think was most suitable?

If you could help me out that would be great. I hope to have this before December because I need to have as much money as possible for Christmas shopping...oh joy right?

I have to go out and buy:

• A lap top for my cousin

• A gold necklace for my boyfriend

•  A cell phone for my mom

• A GC for my brother

• A jacket for my dad

This is going to be one expensive christmas.
